Description: Brush up on your club dancing and move to the beat of a fusion of traditional African and Cuban and other Latin-American rhythms. Students will learn dance moves influenced by many dances such as Mambo, Cha Cha, and Guaracha. Learn to dance Salsa in a way that is simple & effective. The instructors break down fancy moves into fun to learn steps. Tuesdays, June 9-July 7 Registration deadline: June 5 $40 members, $45 nonmembers Fees listed per person Minimum students 4, Max. 16 Ages: 18 & up Salsa Level I Time: 6:30-7:20 pm ( five 50 minute sessions ) Introduction to Salsa dancing. No prior dance experience or partner required. Salsa Level II Time: 7:30-8:20 pm (five 50 minute sessions) Prerequisite: Salsa I or instructor's permission. About the instructors: Ed & Beverly Caballero have been teaching Latin dancing in Peoria Illinois since 2007. Current teaching locations include Contemporary Art Center, Peoria Park District, Bradley University and District 150 public schools. Previous locations included RiverPlex, Common Place, ICC, Carver Center, Friendship House and the Clarion Hotel. They have also performed as a couple, with a group and with their students.
