Synopsis Giselle is about a happy young peasant girl whom believes that she is in love and is loved in return. Her name is Giselle. The gamekeeper, who also is in love with Giselle, trys to confince her that Albretch, the man she loves, is a nobleman disguised as a peasant. Albretch is revealed for who he really is, already bethrothed, which causes Giselle to go mad and die. The gamekeeper goes to visit Giselle’s grave and encounters the ghostly Willis, beautiful brides that passed due to broken hearts, where their queen, Myrtha forces the gamekeep to dance until he dies. Albretch then also visits Giselle’s grave and almost has the same fate as the gamekeeper, but is saved by Giselle in her shadowy form. The sun then rises and the Willis and Giselle vanish, but Giselle remains alive with Albretch – a love stronger than death. More Info below.
