In this program, children ages 4-5 will have the opportunity to experience classical ballet training with a talented ballet instructor right at their library. Each 60-minute class will include a healthy mix of basic beginner ballet steps and creative movement done through popular children’s songs and freestyle dancing. Students ages 4 and 5 will enjoy the program free of cost and have the opportunity to perform in a year end “Culmination Performance” at the Stadium Theater in Woonsocket. No prior experience needed! Students registering must be age 4 or 5 by September. Registration is required, and particiments must attend all the sessions in the term. Attire: *Children may wear comfortable, stretchy clothes OR a leotard and tights (not required). *Children are encouraged to wear pink (girls) or black (boys) ballet slippers. *Ballet slippers are not mandatory unless children plan to perform in the Culmination performance.
