After the chaos has been danced, the masks have been dropped, the identification with “I” dissolved, and the expanse of lyrical has arrived, we enter into the awake potency of the still-point . In this day-long workshop, we will take some time to examine the layers and textures of stillness. We will step through the veil of the mundane to access the realm of ether and mystery, dancing ourselves from form to formless, to arrive into a dynamic field of being. Cost: $115 Prerequisites: None Note: All hours of this workshop count towards teacher training Waves prerequisites. As I journeyed down life's path they became my refuge; a place where I could allow my heart to express all the vibrations that I did not have words for, a place to empty out all that pent up energy inside. At a young age I became a competitive dancer as well as a student teacher in the dance studio. Dance led me to my next passion: the theatre. I studied at Florida School of the Arts and Florida State University. While at Florida State I had a devastating injury to my ankle the night before I was to open my first show there. This injury became one of my biggest gifts, one of my first deep teachers. During my healing process one of my acting professors handed me Gabrielle's book, on page one, I knew Gabrielle would be my teacher. It is with great honor and humility that I became a student of both Gabrielle and Jonathan in 2000 and that now I have to opportunity to share what I have learned with so many. Today, the teachings are so ingrained in my being that I live and breathe this practice. I dance for my own freedom and yours. I dance to continuously turn life's challenges into sacred art.
