As both Artistic Director of Kristin Sudeikis Dance and as a commercial choreographer, Kristin creates work that is rooted in igniting social activism and connected to the world—seeking to affect lasting change through ephemeral moments. Her commercial work ranges from screen to brand promotion, and includes dance events for SELF Magazine, Microsoft, and Wells Fargo Bank. Most notably, Kristin created with and for NIKE as part of the NIKE Blast women’s training event in Stockholm, Sweden (2010-2014). She and her choreography have also been featured on NBC’s 30 Rock; with Mariah Carey on Good Morning America; in music videos and tours for recording artists; and in such publications as Marie Claire, Vogue, Dance Teacher Magazine, and SHAPE Magazine. Most recently, Kristin was commissioned to choreograph music videos for Chinese pop star Bibi Wu, expanding her cliental of recording artists to include international musicians. FULL BIO: [hidden] About Rachel: Rachel Warren, professional dancer and seasoned teacher, is thrilled to be at Dancing Grounds. As a professional dancer, yoga instructor, and fitness expert, she incorporates her knowledge of the body and its immense capabilities into all her musically driven, positively-charged classes. Since 2008, Rachel has shared her love of dance and physical movement to a variety of demographics throughout New York's five boroughs. From her work in after-school programs (Allen-Stevenson School for Boys, The Police Athletic League, Global Arts To Go, and Ballet Hispanico) to her classes in corporate and high-end fitness facilities (Soul Cycle, GoYoga Brooklyn, and Crunch) Rachel brings her passion of dance, music and wellness to both youth and adults. She has been featured on The View, Good Morning America, NY1, The New York Times, Self Magazine, Women's Health for her work in fitness and wellness. Rachel is also a principal dancer in Kristin Sudeikis Dance, the New York City based contemporary company founded and directed by Kristin Sudeikis. She has been featured in the company's premiere dance film Made to Love and has performed in the company's sold-out productions Even in Silence, part deux, The Light Remains, and STAND.
