University Of Chicago Argentine Tango Club and NuTango team up! This event is about giving dancers from college clubs across Chicago a chance to dance with their crosstown peers in a spacious and welcoming milonga. Non-students are welcome too of course. From 7:00 to 8:00, UC-ATC will be teaching a class on how to play with steps, pacing, and embrace to adapt to the context of the music. Also 7:00 - 8:00, a lesson for absolute beginners will be held in the Louis Room North (the room next door) From 8:00 to 11:00, NuTango will be DJing a milonga that is about 50% Golden Age and 50% electronic, nuevo and/or alternative. Admission to all of the above is $3 if you're an NU or UC student, $5 otherwise. The event is in the Norris Student Center, Room 205 (Louis Room), at Northwestern University. 1999 Campus Dr, Evanston, IL 60208 Parking on Northwestern campus is free after 4:00 pm that day.
