It is also one of the hardest to master. This class will focus on creating a more comfortable and dynamic embrace. Using a variety of exercises and tools we will help students train and create a more comfortable/expressive embrace for themselves and their partners. 3:45- 5:15pm ¡Enrosques! (Int) One of the most easily recognizable figures of Tango Salon. Few things portray more technical dominance than a well executed enrosque. Over the course of the next 90 minutes we will discover tips and tricks for both roles to facilitate this complex possibility strengthening in the process our connection with our partner as well as our own dance. Milonga 8pm-12am - DJ Timmy Tango Performance @ 11 Sunday 12:30-2:00pm ¡La Voz! (All Levels) Berón, Rufino, Podestá, Campos! All of the famous tango singers have left an indelible mark on the history of both tango music and the dance! This class is an exploration of the nuances of interpreting the singer within the tanda! 2:15-3:45pm Interpreting Biagi! (Intermediate) A Biagi tanda is serious business. Unique rhythms. Uncommon elements. It's a musical mountain to summit. We will explore the elements that make his compositions unique as well as work strongly with interpretation. Through this class we aspire to help students sharpen their tango salon, while increasing musicality and vocabulary. Sharper pivots, stronger sacadas and musical embellishments will all be explored. 4-7pm Milonga Alberto Ramos Cordero Based out of New York and the Caribbean before moving to Cleveland, Alberto has taught at the Hunter College Tango Club, New York’s You Should Be Dancing studios, and worked on staff at the Piel Canela Dance Company.
