Join Mandy Doria-Ellard for this Ballet Breakdown 5 week series! Come learn the basics as we explore what a traditional ballet class looks like. Coming from a yogic perspective, we will fine tune alignment and technique to open up the mind and tap into ones inner child and spirit. This is perfect for beginners as well as the experienced dancer to improve your understanding of ballet. It will prepare you to enter our open level ballet class at Mission which offers a non competitive environment to have fun while learning this classical form of movement. We will go through classical ballet positions including foot and arm placement, barre work, stretching, and basic ballet steps. Channeling the energetic and emotional body, we will explore how to have freedom in your body while moving and dancing. You will leave this workshop prepared to enter and understand an open level or beginner's ballet class. You will be able to interact, ask questions and work collaboratively with one another. This workshop is appropriate whether you are new to ballet or want to fine-tune your technique as a dancer. Cost: $89 Dates: January 24, 31, February 7, 14, 21 Each class is approx. 75 - 90 mins More Info below.
