The first of its kind, BalletX’s new Choreographic Fellowship program received 50 applications from emerging choreographers around the world. A panel of dance experts selected Yin Yue as the inaugural Fellow, offering her the opportunity to work under the guidance of world-renowned choreographer Trey McIntyre, as they each create a world premiere for BalletX. Having choreographed nearly 100 ballets in his 25-year career, McIntyre “knows how to time a movement to make an audience gasp, and how to paint a striking stage picture” (The New York Times). McIntyre and Yue’s world premieres will be featured alongside BalletX Co-Founder Matthew Neenan’s "Show Me", originally commissioned for the 2015 Vail International Dance Festival.
