Hello! Have you been thinking about doing a fun activity, doing something to stay active and contribute to your fitness goals, something that will connect you with friends and will help you take control of stress? Well, this is a great time to join BELLY DANCE CLASSES then! Learn Raks Sharqi (belly dance), a dance with roots in the Middle Eastern folklore that includes undulations, vibrations and sharp accents. In this dance, different parts of the body are moved independently and layered to make a unity. Every part of your body will participate, from your toes to your fingertips, your head and also your heart, as you develop body awareness and coordination. Regardless of your age or body type, you can learn something from this dance. WHEN Belly dance classes for beginners with Seyyide will resume on May 9th. - MONDAYS 7:35 to 8:35 pm - TUESDAYS 8:40 to 9:40 pm. REGISTER NOW for the SPRING-SUMMER SESSION: [hidden] Options: - SPRING-SUMMER VIP membership (May 9th through the end of August 2016): UNLIMITED classes and a FREE GIFT. - SPRING-SUMMER REGULAR membership (May 9th through the end of August 2016): Up to 23 classes out of 15 weeks of classes - May-June class package (for one weekly class during May and June) Any of these options are available at [hidden] Or buy a 5-class card/ 10-class card to start anytime and extend for longer, a more flexible arrangement: [hidden] (expiration is 2 months from first use for 5-class cards, or 4 months for 10-class cards). You can also drop in, provided that a spot is still available, spots given on a first-come first-served basis (class limited to 17 students), and the price to to drop in is $18/class. You need to check with me first for availability, it's recommendable that you RESERVE a spot in advance (via e-mail or phone). For a description of the levels and to register, [hidden] - About me: Seyyide specializes in Egyptian style and we'll work on the fundamentals of this dance as well as combining, movements, transitions, musicality, of course, as always, taking special attention to posture and stage presence (whether you aspire to perform or not). Wear comfortable clothes as you would for a yoga class. Barefoot, ballet slippers or dance shoes (street shoes not allowed in the studio). A scarf to tie at your hips is optional. Seyyide has coined hip scarves available for sale.
