TAKE A ONE-DAY TANGO VACATION! Always wanted to learn Argentine Tango, but your busy schedule gets in the way of weekly lessons? This action-packed day is for you! BEGINNER LEVEL: 11:00AM - 2:00PM INTERMEDIATE LEVEL: 2:00PM - 5:00PM Take ONE or BOTH levels. $5 off the second class if you take both. INSTRUCTORS: Alla Lakov and Yves Chretien Price per person: $72 regular registration $60 early bird registration (one week in advance of class date, i.e. through 11/26) Notes: - No partner or prior experience required! - Pre-registration is required for an acceptable leader/follower ratio, so register early to guarantee your spot. - Bring a snack and drinks to get you through the day. - Wear comfortable shoes and clothing. There are small breaks, but you'll dance a lot! *************************************** BOOT CAMP DESCRIPTIONS: *************************************** BEGINNER BOOT CAMP 11:00 - 2:00 If you've never danced a step in your life, or if you've taken some tango lessons but want to solidify your fundamentals, this is the perfect place to start. Starting from the basic movements, you'll learn the basic movements that distinguish this timeless dance from all others. INTERMEDIATE BOOT CAMP For those who have completed either (i) the Beginner Boot Camp, or (ii) at least one complete introductory lesson series in tango (e.g., at least 6 lessons or so). Focusing on three different topics, we'll show you how to combine and adapt the fundamental elements of tango to produce endless creativity in your dance. 2:00-3:00 - Wraps and Ganchos Those tango photos where the follower's leg is entwined around the leader's? This hour will show how those beautiful moments flow naturally from the fundamentals. 4:00-5:00 - Milonga Learn to adapt the movements of tango to an exciting type of tango music that’s faster and more rhythmic than you imagined “tango” could be, deepening your understanding of both the steps and the music. 5:00-6:00 - Paradas If there’s one truly magic moment in tango, it’s the parada.
