Salsa Social: Beginner Lesson + Dancehall

Make new friends and leave with new moves from this Salsa Social at The Vertical Barre. This event will begin with a first-timer friendly lesson taught by Segovia Dance Company followed by a Latin playlist and open dance floor from 9:30 to midnight. Don't miss the salsa lesson by Renee Segovia starting at 8:30pm! Join us solo or bring some friends! Partner not required for lesson. $15 suggested donation for the evening. First 10 attendees will be put in a drawing for a gift card to The Vertical Barre and free Segovia Dance Company T-shirt! Spanish inspired snacks served. BYOB. Renee Segovia is the Owner and Director of Segovia Dance Company and has been teaching Latin dance since 2013. Her passion for dance began in 1991 when she studied jazz, tap and ballet with De LaRue Dance Center over the course of 6 years. She also has a background and education in music having played the saxophone in marching and concert band for 7 years. In 2007 Renee fell in love with Latin music and dance and started a long and passionate pursuit to learn the art. She began focused training in Latin dance in Atlanta, Georgia with world renowned instructors and choreographers. Segovia continues to receive training by attending congresses and festivals throughout the United States to bring the latest trends and techniques to her students. It has become her mission to enrich the lives of anyone willing to learn one dance at a time. More Info below.
