Onc.U.E December Hip-Hop Dance Classes

This holiday season there are more chances to get down with Quilan Cue Arnold as he is teaching the Access8 Classes at Gibney Dance 280 in December! Join him as he guides a unique groove series focusing on the movements of some of the most influential Hip-hop artists in pop-culture: Missy Elliot, Busta Rhymes, Bruno Mars, and more! Week 1: Monday 12/19: 2-4pm Wednesday 12/21: 2-4pm Friday 12/23: 2-4pm Week 2: Monday, 12/26: 2-4pm Wedneday, 12/28: 2-4pm Friday, 12/30: 2-4pm *$8 at the door or pre-register at gibneydance.org* “onC.U.E” encourages a student's sense of creativity, unity, and empowerment by establishing an intentional connection between each individual and the community that they create together. Thus, students will learn foundational techniques of Hip-hop social dance, House dance, and Popping—isolation, groove, ephebism, hitting, etc.—by participating in numerous exercises that are inspired by Hip-hop dance's primary learning environment- the cypher. In challenging the strengths, fears, mental acuity, and vulnerability of each student, this Hip-hop class prioritizes community as a way to inspire the best from every individual. More Info below.
