The orchestra at the vanguard of tango in Argentina, Rascasuelos returns to the US to Faena Theater, Miami Beach, on Wednesday March 22, 2017. Performing two exclusive shows, composer and musical director, Patrico “Tripa” Bonfiglio, and vocalist Limón García, merge the pulse of Osvaldo Pugliese and audacity of the legendary Astor Piazolla, in a show reimagining tango in the 21st century. A seven-piece orchestra featuring musicians from the Philharmonic Orchestra of Buenos Aires, Rascasuelos emerge from deep within the tension, chaos, and recovery that encapsulates the social-historical narrative of Argentina. The vision becomes complete with the virtuosi in tango, ballet and contemporary dance, Micaela Spina, Manuco Firmani, Soledad Buss and Cesar Peral – the principal dancers from ‘Arrabal’ by multi-award winners Gustavo Santaolalla and Sergio Trujillo Rascasuelos is the contemporary accompaniment to a society whose streets remain forever on fire. In this sense, Rascasuelos reflects the counterweight to the post-truth politics of today. Faena Theater is located at: 3201 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, Tel: [hidden].
