Phoenix World Arts Collective proudly presents two evenings of amazing Paella, cooked by OTRO CAFÉ, and a Flamenco Tablao Show that will transport you into the very bosom of Andalucia, SPAIN! Witness the amazing talent of internationally recognized artists from all around the nation! ITINERARY Saturday, April 8th, 2017 - 8PM DOORS OPEN / 9PM SHOW Sunday, April 9th, 2017 - DOORS OPEN/ 5PM SHOW ARTISTS Guitar- Chris Burton Jácome (Tucson, AZ) -Artistic director and creator of Jácome Flamenco. He writes the music and lyrics for all of the touring company's productions and has toured extensively throughout the US and beyond. He lives in Mesa, AZ. Pianist: Ioannis Goudelis (Athens, Greece) -Ioannis Goudelis has performed internationally at festivals, clubs and concert halls throughout the world including the United States, Europe, Africa, Central America and the Pacific. Singer: Olivia Rojas (El Paso, TX) -Olivia Rojas has been singing for over 15 years. She began her professional career singing choral and Mexican rancheras, but was drawn to the passion of flamenco cante six years ago. She has toured with Calo Flamenco and CBJ Flamenco Ensemble. Dancers: Carlos Montufar (El Paso, TX) -CEO of non-profit Phoenix World Arts Collective and producer of Café Flamenco and WorldDANCE. He began his Flamenco studies in Phoenix, AZ and has performed throughout the Southwest and New York. He has also taught Flamenco education in elementary and middle schools in New York and North Carolina through Carlota Santana's Flamenco Vivo. Lena Jacome (Silver City, New Mexico) -Assistant Director of Jácome Flamenco and is an internationally touring flamenco dancer, choreographer and instructor with Jácome Flamenco, and lives in Mesa, AZ. Sarah Louisa Castellanos (Washington DC) -Performer, teacher and choreographer of flamenco based in Phoenix, AZ. She has been dancing flamenco for more than a decade, studying in Washington DC and abroad. More Info below.
