DCSSA 3rd Tuesday Salsa Social, this Aug 15th! The DC Style Salsa Academy welcomes you to our dance social, every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month! Here are the details: - FREE admission for all students who attended class prior to the social! - FREE admission for college students (with school ID)! - FREE admission for all youth 18 and under! - ONLY $5 for the social, for dancers who don't fit in the above 3 categories of FREE!!! - PLENTY of parking in the back, and additional street parking all around! - PLENTY of drums, bells, chekeres, and other instruments to play along with the music! - SUPER CASUAL, come in work clothes, gym clothes, sleep clothes, business clothes, birthday clothes... *** SUPER BEGINNER FRIENDLY! NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY, NO PARTNER NECESSARY! BRING YOUR OWN WATER AND TOWEL!!!*** DCSSA is a judgement-free zone. We welcome all dancers of all backgrounds, no discrimination tolerated! Our cadre of instructors will be present to help you along with your dance, to answer any burning questions you may have, and of course, to get down and dance! Jimmy will be playing from his collection of music from his laptop from 9 to 12am. Classic salsa, mambo, new school salsa, timba, Son Cubano, boogaloo, and cha-cha only. We have plenty of percussive instruments to play along with the music. We welcome you to come with your own instrument, or respectfully play one of the studios instruments. Musical knowledge and rhythmic knowledge will be shared during the social for all! We have hardwood floors, mirrors, clean bathrooms and plenty of parking in back! Come as you are, enjoy with us for an entire night of dancing, and leave fullfilled and satisfied!
