Just ONE more class before we take a week off for Thanksgiving! Join CMDC in welcoming Andrew Pearson back to teach Wednesday. 8:30-10pm. JUST TEN DOLLARS. Brockus Project Studios. Andrew Pearson, founder of Contemporary Dance Practice:LA, is choreographer, educator, and performer. With a BFA from the University of California, Irvine, his dance training traces back to LA Dance pioneers Lester Horton and Bella Lewitzky and has continued to be informed by his experience as a professional in Los Angeles. While this experience has allowed him to teach and perform nationally and internationally, his practice remains firmly rooted in LA. Andrew has taught for the Nuevo School of Contemporary Dance, Orange County School of the Arts, Northern Kentucky University, California State University, Channel Islands, and Transit Dance of Melbourne, Australia, among others. He teaches a class that emphasizes body knowledge, efficiency in movement, individual expression, and fun. His choreographic works are multi-layered dance-theater filled with dichotomy and contradiction that mimic the complexities of human relationships. Andrew performs his own solo work, freelances, and is a longstanding member of the Los Angeles Contemporary Dance Company. [hidden] More Info below.
