He has been trained in the art form of Bharatanatyam from his teacher and mother, Manju Thomas and had his Arangetram at the age of 17. As Jeevan grew older, so did his love for dance. His desire to learn other styles and dance forms transformed from passion into obsession. He now excels in hip hop, krump, breakdancing, Bollywood and bhangra. He was also one of the main choreographers and team members of ‪The Wanted‬ Ashiqz, an accomplished dance troupe of trained, all-male Bollywood dancers from the New York area, who seamlessly fuse Bollywood and hip-hop dance styles. Jeevan and his team have won many competitions such as Best Of the Best 5 in 2009, Bollywood America in 2010, Kollaboration NY in 2011, and placed 2nd at World Of Dance in New York in May 2011 and May 2012 and 4th in May 2014. He and his team have also been featured on the hit show So You Think You Can Dance in 2014. With his dance experience and understanding he has judged numerous competitions within the dance circuit such as DKD 2016, Buckeye Mela 2016, South Asian Showdown 2016, The Manhattan Project 2015, NNR 2014, Jhalak 2013, A2 Dhoom 2013, Srujan 2013 among many others all over the nation. Jeevan has choreographed two nationally winning hip hop teams, The Sachem East Varsity Arrowettes and the St. Joseph's College Dance Team. Under his guidance, the two teams have placed at The National Dance Alliance and Reach for the Beach Competition, respectively. He continues to teach at multiple studios in the Long Island and Queens areas of New York and has also conducted numerous dance workshops at various colleges and studios all over the United States. Jeevan is currently a District Manager at ADP while also in part ownership of both an event planning company and beer company. SANJANA RAJ: Sanjana's journey as a dancer began at a young age with the study of several classical Indian dance forms. Following over 10 years of training, Sanjana completed her arangetram at age 15. She soon immersed herself in the competitive collegiate dance circuit, and is now a veteran of the award-winning all-female fusion team Drexel Jhalak and a former member of Aluminati. Inspired early on by the allure of Bollywood cinema, Sanjana has cultivated a deep appreciation for her culture and its emphasis on the arts. She is constantly seeking to expand her repertoire of dance styles, and more recently filmed for an upcoming South Indian movie. Sanjana remains involved as a dancer and judge whilst working in New York City and thanks her family and friends for their continued support of her passion. More Info below.
