Hip Hop/Street Styles Dance Wksp/Fundraiser For I'm From Vol. 2

The cast members of “I’m From Vol. 2” are hosting a dance workshop to raise money for their show in February 2018 at The Southern Theater. Attendees will leave with effective tools for their toolbox that will help them freestyle, choreograph, perform, and navigate the professional dance industry. What is “I’m From Vol. 2?” It is common to SEE dancers perform, but uncommon to HEAR them and their raw stories of IMMIGRATION and IDENTITY. This show features 13 local professional dancers expressing their stories through DANCE (Breaking, House, Krump, Popping, Urban Choreography, Modern, Traditional Filipino, African, and more), THEATER, and SPOKEN WORD. Directed by Joelle Fernandez and Frankie Hebres. Workshop Schedule 4:45 – 5:00 PM Doors Open, Register, Stretch 5:00 – 6:15 PM Foundation and Training 6:15 – 6:45 PM Cypher (freestyle circle) and Break 6:45 – 8:00 PM Choreography Combo Open to all levels Ages 9+ First come, first serve to give a quality learning experience for attendees.
