VBC Intermediate 1-3 dancers are encouraged to attend this class) ADVANCED 2:45 pm – 4:45 pm VBC Enrolled dancers $30, other $40 (This class is for advanced dancers. VBC Intermediat 4 through Advanced dancers are encouraged to attend this class) Based on the style of Paul Taylor Dance Company, class focus is on core stabilization, alignment, breathing and freedom of expansive movement. Come dance to a variety of musical phrases with live percussion performed by Mari Takeda. Constance Dinapoli danced with the Paul Taylor Dance Company from 1986-1993. Now acting as repetiteur for the Paul Taylor Dance Foundation, she stages Mr. Taylor’s work on professional companies and universities around the world and has co-directed Taylor 2. Currently, she is artistic coordinator of contemporary dance at the Peabody Preparatory; adjunct professor in the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, Humanities Center, the Johns Hopkins University; lecturer in dance at Goucher College; instructor at The University of Maryland Baltimore County, and faculty with The Washington School of Ballet. She is also director of Paul Taylor American Modern Dance Summer Intensives at Peabody and other colleges. More Info below.
