Join us for a special topics drop-in class with guest instructor Alper Üngör! Alper, a computer science professor at the University of Florida, teaches Argentine Tango as an accredited course. He also is the advisor for the UF Argentine Tango Club. Alper has an excellent understanding of connection, grounding, and musicality. We are excited to have him join us and share his skills and knowledge. The class topic is Movement Discretization. In mathematics, discretization concerns the process of transferring continuous functions, models, and equations into discrete counterparts. Being the math and computer science geek that he is, will translate this into tango for us! More details to come. This class will be held directly before our monthly practica at the Tampa Tango Shack in Town & Country and is limited to 18 dancers. Please register in advance by sending $15 (or $10 for college students) to [hidden] or you can pay Trista or Joshua with cash/check/credit card anytime before the class. More Info below.
