Indradhanush 2018, A Celebration Of Flamenco And Bharatanatyam

Join us to celebrate Holi, a festival of color, and springtime Spanish Feria in this concert fusion exploration of diverse and colorful culture. The show will take you on a journey of tradition and the modern expressions of traditions through the lenses of dance and music. Narrated by explanations of myth and history of the Indian people, the show traces Indian ancestry and alludes to the travel and migration of Indian people to Iberia and the New World. It explores the blending of cultures and teaches that differences are something to be celebrated, and commonalities are opportunity for connection. Bharatanatyam Artists Nita Mallya and Preeti Dharmarajan have collaborated with Flamenco artist, Julia Chacón of Inspiración Flamenca to create a one-time colorful program incorporating professional and youth performers throughout the entire Valley.
