For the best possible experience:
• During Practica - Please keep the outer line of dance moving, and while talking / working on something "standing still", please stay on the inside of the moving lane.
• Around 10.30pm we shift to Milonga mode with cortinas & codigos, however, the small dance floor in the back is open for practicing all night! Brush up on your Milonga manners: [hidden]
Tips for practicing:
• Ask your partner if they'd like to practice something in particular.
• Always ask your partner if they want feedback before giving it: "Please let me know if you'd like me to give you feedback while we practice" or, ask your partner to give feedback on your dance.
• When giving feedback, rather than "You should fix this or that" tell your partner how something makes you feel: "I seem to loose my balance during the pasada" or "I feel restricted in my movement during the turn" etc.
• Ask a 3rd person (peer or teacher) to watch you and give their feedback.
• Don't forget to acknowledge good qualities in your partner while dancing :)
• Have fun!
