Special Monday With Kristin & Elly

Please join us when Kristin Balmer & Elly Liz guest-teach our regular Monday night schedule on March 19. They will be exploring the theme of the very well-received workshop that Kristin gave back in February: "It's in the Cards!". Kristin has created a beautiful deck of “tango cards," each of which proposes a step or tango concept (i.e. "the sandwich", "turn to the left," "change system" or "adorn!"). The cards are used to randomly suggest and limit material for improvisation, thereby forcing you out of old patterns, and helping you forge new ways of connecting things, new ways of navigating, and new ways of expressing the music. 7-8 pm: Tango Technique – With a special focus on the FOLLOWER’s ability to fill the leader’s “thinking” spaces with beautiful adornments that express the music.
