For more details email us at [hidden]. *Please note that the event is a fundraiser for ARTE. ________________________________________ LA TOSCA The founder of La Tosca, Andrea Falcone grew up between Sardinia, Sicily and Milan and has been consequently exposed to the different influences of these regions. He started music playing the local repertoire from Naples and Puglia and now cares very much about preserving and transmitting to the next generations the remembrance of this intensely rich repertoire. He created the music band La Tosca in 2014 initially focusing on Italian folk and Latin American music. The music styles evolved as the group expanded. The instrumental formation of the band enables La Tosca to play Gipsy Jazz music, early Italian Jazz, American Jazz, arranged classical music, Tangos and traditional music from different historical periods and cultures. LaTosca is a unique historical and geographical fusion as the musicians come from Italy, France, Poland, China and America. La Tosca has been awarded the title of "best cocktail band" by the Chicago Magazine for the year of 2017. The musicians perform individually in venues such as the Metropolitan Cathedral in Mexico city, the Carnegie Hall, the Harris theater and regularly go on tours abroad and perform all over Chicago as La Tosca! The group has also created musical plays depicting the ancient Sardinian Carnivale tradition and a fusion between the Italian tradition of the Day of the Dead and the American Halloween tradition that were performed at the Navy Pier notably.  More Info below.
