We encourage the method of mutual invitation via mirada/cabeceo. We dance with a warm, respectful embrace. We follow the line of dance, in a counter-clockwise direction, and navigate with attention to our surroundings. We keep our feet close to the floor to avoid hitting other dancers or tables. We are adults enjoying each others company in an intimate space while respecting each others personal boundaries. We keep talking to a minimum while dancing. The time between songs and tandas is a great time to catch up with or to get to know your partner. We cultivate respect, generosity and pleasure for all tangueras y tangueros.
