What is Casino la Rueda? Salsa Liverpool specializes in teaching Rueda, also known as 'Rueda de Casino' - Rueda is an energetic, fun multiple partner dance which is a fabulous way to learn set choreographed Cuban Salsa choreography and to test your leading and following skills with several partners! In Rueda, two or more couples form a circle (wheel) and the designated leader (lider/cantante) calls out the moves in a random order which the couples then follow, often swapping partners between moves in a synchronized pattern. Some of the most common moves in Rueda include: Guapea, Dame, Enchufle, Vacila, Adios, Sombrero and many many more! 'Casino' is the name for Cuban circular style salsa and 'Rueda' is Spanish for a wheel. 'La Rueda de Casino' was developed in Havana, Cuba in the early 1950s. Rueda continues to develop today and is hugely popular all over the world - It is fun and easy to learn with a good teacher. More Info below.
