This class fuses present-day belly dance genres with contemporary dance. This unique movement vocabulary combines strong leg and foot work with fluidity in the spine and precision in the torso. It emphasizes strength and flexibility, rhythmic and musical phrasing, and most importantly, self-expression. The first half of class is a guided warm-up that includes technical break down of isolations. The second half of class will focus on choreography utilizing movements introduced in the warm-up.
