13th International QueerTango Festival in Berlin, 10-14. JULY 2025: Germany's queer and tango metropolis invites you for the 13th time in a row. Berlin's international Queer Tango Festival has established itself as one of the most successful Queer Tango events in the world in recent years. More than 250 registered participants came to Berlin from all over the world to dance tango together, learn, meet friends and make new contacts. The workshops with internationally renowned tango dancers and teachers were fully booked and the evening events and milongas were very well attended. The open, relaxed atmosphere was particularly highlighted by participants and guests. The tenth edition of the largest Queer Tango festival in the world will take place in mid-July. Be a part of the fascinating, magical world of Queer Tango. We look forward to seeing you! ENCOUNTER IN MOTION Tango has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2009. Berlin also attracts more tango-loving visitors every year, as the capital is the second largest tango metropolis in the world - right after Buenos Aires. How convenient that the two cities have been twinned for several years. Exchange and rapprochement, contact and communication, passion and devotion - that is tango. A unique opportunity to build bridges between different worlds. The International QueerTango Festival Berlin has the declared aim of connecting the other bank of the Rio de la Plata with that on the Spree. But it does not just want to promote dialogue between cultures, it also wants to contribute to the integration of lesbians, gays and transgender people in society, which is also a projection surface for the long-standing heteronormative dance cultures to which tango belongs.
