Starting with clubs, festivals and the early days of ecstatic dance, he found himself at home on the dance floor. After 20 years as a dancer, Jesse has stepped into his dream of serving the conscious dance community as a DJ. He crafts dance journeys to help dancers feel and express the complex beauty of being a human. From vulnerable and tender to wild and exuberant, he invites dancers into deeper connection with themselves. His sets include a spectrum of genres including organic downtempo, latin, trap, and house all handpicked to inspire dancers to move and be moved. [hidden] Contact Improv: Scott Wells “Wells has a dizzying abundance of pure dance-making talent.” – San Francisco Examiner In 2005 Scott Wells received San Francisco’s most prestigious choreography award: The Isadora Duncan Award for Outstanding Choreography and was selected by Dance Magazine as one of the 25 To Watch. He teaches dance technique and is recognized worldwide as a leading teacher of Contact Improvisation. In 1981 Scott discovered the pleasure of contact improvisation shortly after becoming obsessed with the struggles of modern dance. He stuck with both and currently directs a company in San Francisco and tours annually to Europe. In 2005 Scott received the Izzie for Outstanding Choreography and was selected by Dance Magazine as “one of the 25 To Watch”. He teaches dance technique and is recognized worldwide as a leading teacher of Contact Improvisation. Music will flow through various Tempos, Genres, Intensities, and Emotions, so that Dancers may Experience, Express, and Transform their own Energies on the Dancefloor Together.
