Room To Move & Dressed To Groove

Room To Move is a studio co-op & rental facility open to the community. Dressed To Groove is a dancewear shop and the studio's office located next door. Founded in '09 with the intent of nurturing arts and culture in the far south suburbs of Chicago, Room To Move was formed as a studio rental co-op. Our co-op Residents offer classes, workshops and events in many disciplines and styles of dance and movement based arts; including our big yearly showcase 'Time To Groove'. The studio is a home for instructors, artists and the community as a whole. New Residents and renters are always welcome. Whether you are interested taking or offering weekly classes, workshops, master classes, rehearsing, pop up retail events , trunk shows, craft fairs, meetings, birthday parties, bridal showers, or any suitable gathering of people in a space, we could be the perfect option for you! Warmly decorated, the space was designed to make you feel comfortable and at home. The studio measures 20' x 36' and offers many features such as: Sprung dance floor to cushion your joints Marley floor covering 35' mirrored wall 3 total mirrored walls Bose sound system (CD player & iPod/aux hook up) Barre Company portable barres Separate reception area Observation balcony Private bathroom Separate storage area 'Mood & Party Lighting' available All classes and events within Room To Move are being offered by the co-op's Residents or Renters, not Room To Move itself.
