The Regattabar Jazz Club: Boston's premier venue for jazz and world music since 1985 | Visit us on Twitter @TheRegattabar The Regattabar opened on January 29, 1985, and has since become the leading jazz club not only in Boston, but in New England as well. Boston magazine bestowed its “Best of Boston Award” 14 times naming The Regattabar “Best Jazz Club”, and in 2003, inducted The Regattabar into its “Best of Boston Hall of Fame”. The Regattabar has also been named “Best Jazz Club” by both the Boston Phoenix and The Improper Bostonian. The Regattabar is also home to the Regattabar Annual Jazz Festival, Kids' Summer Music Series, and Summer Courtyard Series.
