The Root Cellar is a DIY music venue located at Bard College in Upstate New York. Founded in 1994 as an anarchist collective, the venue is also home to the largest independent zine collection in the Northeast. In addition to being a place to host and play music, Root Cellar also provides a space for meetings, gallery showings, stand-up, plays, and so much more.
