Dance Center Evanston

Dance Center Evanston offers a carefully designed and progressive program in dance technique which takes the young dancer from the primary levels to pre-professional dance. The staff is made up of professionals who have years of experience as teachers, performers, and choreographers. They have expertise in teaching children and understand that dance disciplines must be taught carefully with enjoyment and encouragement. Dance Center Evanston offers strong technical training in Ballet, and encourages students to take Modern Dance which, in addition to technique, uses improvisatory exercises to stimulate personal creativity and freedom of movement. Jazz and Tap classes offer opportunities to enhance rhythm, musicality, and fun. Dance Center Evanston is the home of the Evanston Dance Ensemble, a non profit performing company which gives talented and dedicated advanced level students at DCE an opportunity to perform in professionally produced productions.
