Villa Escudero, in its effort to preserve Filipino culture, hosts a folk dance show at the Coconut Pavilion. The performance features the resort's in-house musicians and staff from various departments, who have been trained in the art of Philippine folk dances. The show is a tribute to the country's rich cultural heritage and is choreographed by Ramon Obusan, a renowned Filipino National Artist who was passionate about preserving traditional folk dances. Binasuan is a traditional Filipino folk dance that originated in Pangasinan and is commonly performed during festive occasions, particularly weddings. During the dance, the performer holds full wine glasses in each hand and executes various balancing tricks. Although wine is typically used to fill the glasses, other liquids may be substituted. To prevent spillage, the performer rotates their arms over and under the shoulder, keeping their palms facing up while allowing the radius to cross over the ulna via pronation.
