Chang: The Naga Tribe of Nagaland | Hornbill Festival

It was the first time when I encountered Tribal festival of India and that too in the state of Nagaland. Out of 17 major Tribes, “Chang Tribe” is one of the major Tribe of Nagaland. In the Hornbill Festival which organized every year near Kohima, you can see them and also you can learn about their ritual, food and History (Half of them knows English). In this video they are doing some ritual with traditional instruments that include xylophone and various drums (made by stretching animal hide) and some sort of wooden trumpets. They eat Rice, Pork (after hunting in the forest area) and they love to drink Rice beer along with their meal.
