GEREWOL FESTIVAL: A FASCINATING RITUAL AND BEAUTY CONTEST FOR MEN

Seeing first hand the Gerewol Festival of the Wodaabe tribe was a dream of mine, so for years I had my mind in Niger. This is a courtship ritual and a beauty competition for men, trying to win over the heart of the women judges of the tribe. I never imagined though how challenging and dangerous this trip was going to be, but it was worth all the trouble.
