Karsilama Greek Dance

A traditional Greek dance theme arranged by Dimitri Mikelis for Al Kamandjati Student Jazz Ensemble. It is performed at the Mahmoud Darwish Museum of Ramallah, Palestine, June 2013 under the Music Days Festival organized by Al Kamandjati Association. The Al Kamandjâti Jazz ensemble was founded in the fall of 2009 by Al Kamandjâti's faculty member for 6 continuous years Dimitri Mikelis. It was formed then with a small number of students and since, along the years till 2015, the ensemble has grown in members, experience and repertoire. Every year, we put higher expectations and we expand our musical horizons through different styles of music that include jazz, pop, funk, rock and blues but also orchestral musical styles.
