Tulip Time Festival, Holland, Michigan Shot in 2009 by Carole Terwilliger Meyers If so inclined, please like, subscribe, and ring the bell (to receive e-mail notices of my new videos). http://travelswithcarole.blogspot.com/2010/04/sights-to-see-tulip-time-festival.html For this annual festival many residents wear authentic traditional Dutch costumes, which are hand-sewn in the area. Most worn in events are made to strict specifications, with no zippers—all hooks and eyes—and specific fabrics. Dancers wear 6 to 8 pairs of socks to make the wooden shoes/clogs/klompen comfortable. Here mostly female dancers are seen "clomping" in the streets around the city's Centennial Park. c2009 Carole Terwilliger Meyers
