Subscribe to the Armenian Museum of America to stay tuned for more programming at the Museum! Have you ever wanted to learn Armenian dance? Now is the perfect opportunity! Collections Curator and Armenian dance expert Gary Lind-Sinanian is here to teach a quick lesson. If you are finding yourself looking to learn more about Armenian culture or are just simply bored, take a minute to stretch your legs and learn an Armenian dance or two! Today’s lesson will feature two variations of the Tamzara. Tamzara is a very popular folk dance of Armenian communities from Western Armenia and is performed all throughout the United States. Membership Like so many institutions around the world, the Museum’s galleries have temporarily closed, and programming has been canceled or postponed until we feel it is safe to welcome back visitors. We realize this means our members are unable to enjoy the benefits of their full 12-month membership. Therefore, all new or renewed memberships from January 2020 through the reopening of the Museum will be extended for the period of months we have remained closed. To join or renew your membership, please visit: https://www.armenianmuseum.org/membership. Your support of our mission and ongoing work is more important now than ever! We look forward to welcoming you all back with new exhibitions, updated galleries and cultural programming and classes once it is safe to resume normal operations.
