Tarian Inang (Inang Dance): The rich cultural heritage of Malaysia is engraved into its many dances through the detailed movements and the enchanting music. Traditionally, an Inang dance is depicted with gentle movements and performed at a moderate pace. In this video, viewers will watch the infusion of such an exciting song with the upbeat pace of inang. We hope to share with the viewers the gentle characters of the people of Malaysia and the beautiful culture we have inherited. Walinong Sari song: Walinong Sari, as depicted by the title of the accompanying song, was one of the legendary princesses in Malaysian folktale. She was described as a dazzling beauty of her time, capturing many eyes that managed to catch a glimpse of her. Beyond that beautiful appearance however, her distinct trait was that she was a talented warrior. With her skills in ‘Silat Gayung’ (a form of martial arts), she emerged victorious in all her fights, even when against the men. The story of the princess has been revived through this music. This is a modernized traditional song, but it still holds the rhythmic beats of ‘kompang’ throughout and enchanting sounds of ‘gamelan’ at some crucial points of the song. This video was produced by SK Pusat Chabang Tiga, Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia.
