Styles: Types of Dances Follow: Latin dances: great for clubs, exercise and meeting fun people-You can dance to Latin music and even to club music. Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cuban Rumba ,Samba, Chacha, Mambo, Bolero-ballads, etc- *Artists- Tito puente, Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Don Omar,etc Ballroom or Specialty dances: these are more formal or classic- Foxtrot big band, Tango, Waltz, Argentine tango, Vienna Waltz, Swing. *example of some Musicians- Michel Buble ,Sinatra, Harry Connick jr., Brian Setzer, Big Voodoo Daddies, Maroon 5. Club-Hustle, Hip Hop. *Artists you can use these dances to -Lady Gaga, Madonna, Christina Aguilera, Black eyed peas, Akon, etc.. Wellness dances * Belly dance movement-great for core strength, creativity,* Yoga-flexibility, relaxation, *Burlesque-fun class with your girlfriends, learn to be creative and sexy, *Turbo Kick- a combination of tae bo boxing, latin and cardio We have kids classes for age 3 and up! Creative Movement: Creative movement with a mix of jazz and Latin or ballet. The class will focus on learning the elements of dance along with their basic steps and classroom etiquete. Pre Ballet: This 45 minute class focuses on improving fundamental motor skills with a creative emphasis. Perfect for boys and girls with lots of energy and love to move! Hip-hop: Class starts with a warm up to improve strength and flexibility. The class will work towards show performances and different styles of combinations. Latin ballroom sport: This is where we will teach the basics or Latin and ballroom focusing on Waltz, Tango, Fox Trot, and Viennese Waltz for the smooth dances and Rumba, Cha-Cha, Mambo, Bolero and Swing for the rhythm dances all in competitive style. We will work on traditional posture, foot and arm styling with the goal of getting the class ready to compete. Latin jazz: This class is a fun mix between Latin and Jazz for a funky flare. The class starts with a warm up to focus on improving strength and flexibility. Then an across the floor combination to work on turns and kicks and then the class ends with a combination that combines Latin steps and jazz technique Ballet: This class is offered in a variety of levels depending on the level the class will work on traditional ballet technique and etiquette using both barre, floor barre, and center exercises Latin and Ballroom: we can offer any of the dances we teach that have not been formed in a group class as private lessons to children/ teens.
